Sydney Tea Festival

  • Carriageworks 245 Wilson Street Eveleigh, NSW, 2015 Australia (map)

The Korean Cultural Centre Australia will be hosting the Tea Guild of Australia at the 2017 Sydney Tea Festival.

The Sydney Tea Festival is an interactive experience designed to help people discover and experience specialty tea; encourage and grow passion for tea through education; and showcase quality specialty tea providers.

The Korean Cultural Centre Australia will be promoting the Centre and many courses offered there, as well as the many facets of Korean life and culture itself.

The Tea Guild of Australia will be performing a Friend's Darye and welcome you to experience this wonderful Korean tradition in an easy and informal way.

Darye means "day tea rite", and is a ceremony that can be for the King, your friend or a stranger on first meeting, or in fact at any time and with any person. It is to show respect, openness, friendliness but also culture and art.

We will of course have a variety of traditional Korean teas available for you to try as well.

We look forward to seeing you there.

The Sydney Tea Festival is held on Sunday 20 August 2017 at Carriageworks.
